Overview
Lander (Lander) in Stationeers: movable object, hash 1605130615.
The lander is a movable object of about 6.6 × 4.0 × 6.6 m with a physics mass of 100 kg – much more than most things in the game, which use the default value of 1. Its job is cargo: it has nine slots, seven for crates (slot type Crate) and two for portable devices (slot type Portables).
A crate slot takes, for example, the Dynamic Crate with its ten slots. Seven full crates give 70 slots of cargo, plus two portable devices such as gas tanks or generators.
You cannot make one: there is no kit, no recipe and no trader offer for the lander. It does not appear in any start condition or scenario in the game data either – so you will not meet it in a normal game. It has no logic values or connections, but it can be painted.
The lander you actually start with is the Lander Mk II: eleven slots (seven for crates, four for portable devices), narrower and taller (about 3.0 × 6.3 × 3.0 m). In the standard starts on every world the game drops it once per new world, loaded with crates for construction, power, airlock, survival and hydroponics plus gas tanks. The "Brutal" start has no lander, just one crate.
Neither lander takes lava damage. Weather damage depends on the difficulty: none on Creative and Easy, single on Normal, double on Stationeer. What you can build yourself to move cargo is shown in Rovers, landers and portable devices.
