Overview
Chute Digital Valve Left (StructureChuteDigitalValveLeft) in Stationeers: device, hash 648608238, 10 W. With build steps, 10 IC10 logic values and…
The digital chute valve is the controllable sibling of the Chute Valve. It sits between a chute input and output and has a shared port for power and data. Base draw is 10 W. "Left" and "right" are two versions of the same device; you pick the one that fits your line layout.
It is switched via Open: open, it lets items through; closed, it holds them. On top of that there are On and Lock and the writable values Setting and Quantity. Through the slot values of slot 0 a chip sees which item is currently in the valve.
A typical pattern: the valve sits in front of a furnace, a chip reads the waiting item with OccupantHash and only opens if it is the right ore. That turns the chute into a gatekeeper. Because lbns in batch mode 0 averages over all devices with the same name, give each valve its own name when you read a prefab hash there.
The autolathe and the pipe bender make the powered chute kit (3 iron, 2 electrum, 2 constantan). It is taken down with the wrench. A complete example is in Sorters, stackers and chute valves with logic.

Example: address by name
Reads Setting, shows the value on the IC housing and writes On. Name the device with the labeller first; devices with the same name are addressed together.
