Mod remover
You no longer want to use a mod but keep your world? Load the save, pick the mods – the tool removes their objects including contents and tidies up networks, references and extra files.

- Detects mods by the save type of objects, by prefab names that do not exist in the game and by extra files in the ZIP. Dominik’s mods are recognised by name, other mods are grouped as “unknown mod”.
- Removes the objects of the chosen mods and everything in their slots (e.g. fuel rods in a reactor).
- Cleans up: atmospheres of removed objects, cable and pipe networks that became empty, parent references and links from other devices (e.g. logic readers, chip housings).
- Deletes the mod’s extra files (e.g. Atomkraftwerk.json) and updates the counters in world_meta.xml.
Why a save does not load without its mod
Many code mods save their devices with their own save type. If the mod is missing, the game does not know this type and aborts loading the whole world (“The specified type was not recognized”). Objects with an unknown prefab name, on the other hand, are merely skipped. That is why the mod remover marks mods with their own save type in red.
