Save rescue
The world does not load or behaves oddly? The rescue tool looks for typical damage, explains every finding and repairs the points you select. At the end there is a report: found, repaired, not repairable.

- The ZIP itself: truncated, damaged, duplicate entries, checksum errors.
- Required files: world.xml, world_meta.xml, terrain.dat and the preview images.
- The XML: truncated file (e.g. crash while saving) or damaged entries. Rescue attempt: keep complete entries, take missing sections from an autosave of the same world.
- The objects: duplicate ReferenceIds, references to missing objects and networks, NaN/infinity in positions, gas amounts and quantities, negative values, objects of unknown mods.
Autosaves as a lifeline
The game keeps backups with the date in the name in the autosave folder, e.g. 161026_112903_auto.save = 16 Oct 2026, 11:29:03. Add one or more of them in the rescue tool: it shows which are intact and uses the newest intact file of the same world as donor for truncated saves.
