Overview
Fuse (1kW) (StructureCableFuse1k) in Stationeers: device, hash -1103727120. With build steps and 3 IC10 logic values.
The 1 kW fuse is the smallest of the five fuses. It sits on a cable piece, needs no power and has no logic values besides its identifiers. If its network carries more than 1,000 W, it trips and destroys the cable piece under it as well.
The important word is network: a fuse compares the flow of the whole network it sits on – the smaller of offer and demand of all devices. If you put it on a branch that hangs on the main network without a transformer, it trips as soon as the whole base draws more than 1,000 W.
It makes sense on a small network of its own, for example behind a Transformer (Small) that separates the branch from the main network:
| Consumer | Load |
|---|---|
| IC housing | 50 W |
| daylight sensor | 10 W |
| gas sensor | 1 W |
| four wall lights (long) | 200 W |
| Total | 261 W |
As long as the branch stays this small, the fuse never trips. If someone plugs a printer or a heater in there, it cuts the branch off, and you see at once where it happened. If you set the transformer itself to 1,000 W instead, the flow can never rise above that – then the branch only switches off when overloaded, and the fuse never trips.
It is built from the Kit (Cable Fuses), which builds all five sizes and is made in the electronics printer. Once tripped it is replaced: new cable piece, new fuse. It is removed with the screwdriver. Which fuse belongs where is in Sizing cables, fuses and transformers correctly.

This thing is not on the data network itself. Read its values through the slot it sits in, or through db if the chip is inside it.
