Overview
Fuse (50kW) (StructureCableFuse50k) in Stationeers: device, hash -349716617. With build steps and 3 IC10 logic values.
The 50 kW fuse belongs on networks of Heavy Cable (Straight). It sits on a cable piece, needs no power and trips as soon as the flow on its network rises above 50,000 W. In doing so it destroys the cable piece under it as well.
Heavy cable carries 100,000 W. The 50 kW fuse therefore protects with a reserve of half. That suits typical big loads:
- Two Generator (Solid Fuel) deliver 40,000 W together – it holds. A third (60,000 W) would be too much as soon as a battery takes the full output.
- The large Transformer (Large) passes at most 50,000 W. A branch behind it with a 50 kW fuse can therefore only be overloaded by another generator inside the branch.
Important: if even one piece of normal cable lies on the same network, its 5,000 W limit is the weakest point. The 50 kW fuse does not protect that piece – that needs the Fuse (5kW), or better a transformer in front of the section with normal cable.
The next sizes are the Fuse (100kW) (exactly the limit of heavy cable) and the Cable Fuse (500kW) for super-heavy cable. All of them come from the Kit (Cable Fuses) and are removed with the screwdriver. More in Sizing cables, fuses and transformers correctly.
