Overview
Batch Reader (StructureLogicBatchReader) in Stationeers: device, hash 264413729, 10 W. With build steps, 8 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The batch reader works like the Logic Reader, but instead of a single device it reads all devices of one type on the data network at its input. The result is one number in its Setting, which is read only. That way you query, for example, every battery of a base at once.
How to set it up: With the Screwdriver you click three setting points; every click moves one step forward, with the C key held one step back:
- Device type: one of the types present on the input network that have readable values,
- Value: the logic type all devices of that type should deliver,
- Method:
Average,Sum,Minimum,MaximumorCount– exactly batch modes 0 to 4 from IC10. A new reader starts onAverage.
For readings the average is the safe choice. With the sum, a mistake only shows once a second device is added – two sensors at 400 K each then read 800 K. Count only counts the devices of the type; the value plays no part.
It has a data input, a data output and a power port and, according to the game data, draws 10 W. Unlike the simple reader it only works with its output connected: with no cable on the output, Error is 1. The same happens when no device of the chosen type is left on the input network. Setting then keeps its last value.
The batch reader does not care about names. It catches every device of the type on the whole input network, including the room next door. If you only need the devices of one room, give them a shared name and read them in a chip with lbn. How that works is explained in IC10: control a device by name. It is built from the Kit (Logic I/O).

Example: address by name
Reads Setting, shows the value on the IC housing and writes On. Name the device with the labeller first; devices with the same name are addressed together.
