Overview
Batch Writer (StructureLogicBatchWriter) in Stationeers: device, hash 1415443359, 10 W. With build steps, 8 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The batch writer is the big brother of the Logic Writer. It does not write a value into a single device but into all devices of one type on the data network at its output. A single batch writer can switch every vent or every lamp of a base. In IC10 the counterpart is called sb.
How to set it up: With the Screwdriver you click three setting points; every click moves one step forward, with the C key held one step back:
- Device type: one of the types on the output network that have writable values,
- Value: the logic type that gets set on all devices of that type,
- Source: a logic unit on the input network whose
Settinggets written, for example a compare unit or a lever.
Like the simple writer it only writes when the source value changes. A vent you connect later therefore only gets the value with the next change. Write a number above 0 into ForceWrite if it should set all devices again right away.
It has no readable Setting, just On, Power, Error and the write-only ForceWrite. It has a data input, a data output and a power port and, according to the game data, draws 10 W. Error is 1 when the source is missing or no device of the chosen type is left on the output network. It is built from the Kit (Logic I/O).
Its strength is also its trap: the batch writer really hits every device of that type on the network; names play no part. If it switches vents to “suck in”, the vents in the airlock next door do the same. If different rooms share one data network, sbn with a name in a chip is the safe way – it only hits the devices you named that way. More in IC10: control a device by name and Logic without a chip: reader, writer, memory, compare, math.

Reads On, shows the value on the IC housing and writes On. Name the device with the labeller first; devices with the same name are addressed together.
