Overview
Logic Memory (StructureLogicMemory) in Stationeers: device, hash -851746783. With build steps, 4 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The logic memory is the simplest logic part: a place for one number. It sits in Setting, which is readable and writable. Apart from name and hash it has no other logic values.
It needs no power and has two data ports. It is built from the Kit (Logic Memory), which also builds the hash generator.
By hand you set the number with the Screwdriver at four setting points: plus or minus 100 and plus or minus 1, with the C key held plus or minus 10 and 0.1. The Labeller is quicker; it opens an input field. Values changed with the screwdriver are rounded to one decimal place.
Two uses are typical:
- A fixed value for a logic chain. A Logic Compare needs two inputs. One comes from the sensor, the other from the memory holding the limit, for example 95 for 95 kPa.
- A mailbox between two chips. One chip writes a value into the memory with
sbn, another reads it withlbn. That way two programs exchange states without knowing each other.
Give every memory its own name. If two programs read the same name with batch mode 0, they get the average of all memories with that name – rarely what you want.
How memory, compare and writer form a controller together is shown in Logic without a chip: reader, writer, memory, compare, math.

Example: address by name
Reads Setting, shows the value on the IC housing and writes Setting. Name the device with the labeller first; devices with the same name are addressed together.
