Overview
Purge Valve (StructurePurgeValve) in Stationeers: device, hash -737232128, 100 W. With build steps, 11 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The purge valve has two different pipe ports: the input is a liquid line, the output a gas line. It only moves gas, never liquid. That is how you bleed a liquid line: the gas that collects in it is released into a gas network until the pressure at the input sits at the set value.
Why that is needed: in a liquid line, liquid and gas share the volume. Gas gets in, for example, when a line held air before, or it forms because part of the liquid evaporates – in an empty line up to its vapour pressure. This gas determines the pressure you see and takes up room.
Setting is the target pressure at the input in kPa, factory value 50, at most 60,795 – which is also what Maximum reports. It works like a Back Pressure Regulator that only moves gas. You switch it with On and Lock. Power and data share one port; base draw is 100 W.
Watch the output: what arrives there may be steam or another gas from the liquid. Lead it into its own network or through a filtration unit, not into breathing air.
It is built from the Kit (Pressure Regulator), which also makes the Pressure Regulator and the Back Pressure Regulator. The pressurant valve from the same kit works the other way round: gas from a gas pipe into a liquid line. More on liquid lines in Pipes and lines: gas, liquid, insulated.
