Overview
Liquid Pipe Analyzer (StructureLiquidPipeAnalyzer) in Stationeers: device, hash -2113838091, 5 W. With build steps, 43 IC10 logic values and connection…
The liquid pipe analyzer is the counterpart of the Pipe Analyzer for liquid lines. It sits on a liquid pipe and measures the whole network: Pressure, Temperature, TotalMoles, the fractions of all substances (including RatioLiquid…) as well as Volume and VolumeOfLiquid. On and Lock are writable. Power and data share one port; it needs 5 W.
Its most important value is the fill level: VolumeOfLiquid divided by Volume. Pressure is no good for that. As long as there is still gas in the line, it only shows that gas's pressure in the remaining volume. Only once the liquid fills more than the network volume minus 0.1 litres does liquid pressure come in – by the formula 10 / (1 − fill level) − 10 kPa. In a 200-litre network that is suddenly about 20,000 kPa, while the limit is 6,079.5 kPa.
An example: the network reports Volume 400 and VolumeOfLiquid 340. The fill level is 340 / 400 = 85 %. At 90 % your pump should stop – here that would be 360 litres.
A second reason to keep an eye on it: if the temperature drops below the freezing point, liquid in the pipe solidifies into chunks of ice that end up in the world. Water freezes at 273.15 K, polluted water at 276.15 K. Temperature warns you in time.
A ready-made fill-level program for a Liquid Volume Pump is in Pipes and lines: gas, liquid, insulated.
