Chatbot: instant answers, a faster standard tier and an IC10 expert
The site now answers simple questions instantly by itself, everything else goes to a faster chatbot. For IC10 chips there is the IC10 expert with three free tasks per month.
The chatbot now works in three tiers. Every answer carries a small badge so you can see who answered.
- Instant: questions like “Where is the gas calculator?”, “Does Air Conditioning run on a dedicated server?” or “hash of air conditioner” are answered by the website itself – from the site guide, the mod pages, the FAQ, the Stationeers wiki and the hash lookup. No waiting, no AI, and it does not count towards the daily limit. If the answer is not enough, “Answer in more detail with AI” gets you a full answer.
- Standard: all other questions are answered by a faster model. As before, it searches the site’s content first and looks up devices and hashes in the game data. You can ask 30 AI questions per day.
- IC10 expert: if a chip should be written, changed or fixed, the standard tier hands the task over to the IC10 expert. You can also choose it yourself with the “IC10 expert” switch below the input field. Every member gets three expert tasks per month for free, with new ones on the first of each month. The chat window shows how many you have left. If an expert answer stops because of a technical error, you get the task back.
Once a month’s expert tasks are used up, the standard tier answers your question as well as it can. For your own chips the IC10 coder with checker and simulator and the IC10 academy help too.
Conversations are still not stored. Instant answers are created on the site’s server without your question going to an AI service. The privacy policy has been updated accordingly.
