Overview
Super-Heavy Cable (Straight) (StructureCableSuperHeavyStraight) in Stationeers: structure, hash -743746917. With build steps and connection diagram.
Super-heavy cable carries 500,000 W, five times as much as heavy cable and a hundred times as much as normal cable. At 7.6 cm it is a little thicker than the other two (5 cm). Like every cable it forms one network for power and data with every piece it touches, and like heavy cable it practically does not burn according to the game data.
You only need it for very large installations. An example: six Generator (Solid Fuel) deliver 120,000 W together. If a battery bank charges behind them, the full output flows, and heavy cable (100,000 W) would break. Super-heavy holds that with plenty of margin.
It is built from the Cable Coil (Super Heavy), which the electronics printer only makes from tier 2. According to the recycling data it contains alloys (electrum and constantan) – so this line costs more than the others. It is removed with wire cutters.
The matching fuse is the Cable Fuse (500kW). A transformer cannot pass the whole output on: the largest manages 50,000 W. For consumers you therefore split the power across several Transformer (Large).
One limit applies here too: a battery output straight into a battery input creates a flow in the millions, and this cable does not hold that either. More in Sizing cables, fuses and transformers correctly.
