Overview

Computer (Modern) (StructureComputer) in Stationeers: device, hash -626563514, 200 W. With build steps, 9 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.

The computer stands on the floor and takes 2 × 3 cells of the small grid. It draws 200 W and has separate ports for data and power. It is built from the Kit (Computer) in the Electronics Printer; in the second step you fasten it with the screwdriver. The same kit also builds the retro computer and two big-screen variants.

As with the Console, only the inserted part decides the job. The computer has one slot for a motherboard and two slots for data disks. According to the game data there are, among others, the IC Editor Motherboard, the Logic Motherboard, the sorter motherboard and the communications motherboard.

It matters most for IC10: with the IC Editor Motherboard you write programs here and transfer them to a chip. For that, computer and IC housing must be on the same data network, and a chip must be in the housing.

Its logic values are On, Open, Lock, Error and the power values. Lock locks operation – handy when fellow players should not tinker with your programs.

The way from the computer to a running program is described in IC10: your first chip; the lesson editor workflow shows the buttons in detail.

Example: address by name

Reads Open, shows the value on the IC housing and writes On. Name the device with the labeller first; devices with the same name are addressed together.

define NAME HASH("Computer (Modern)") # name in game (labeller)
define TARGET 1 # On 1 = on
