Overview
Logic Writer (StructureLogicWriter) in Stationeers: device, hash -1326019434, 10 W. With build steps, 8 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The logic writer is the end of a logic chain. It takes a value and writes it into a logic value of a target device – for example the result of a Logic Compare into On of a vent.
How to set it up: With the Screwdriver you click three setting points; every click moves one step forward, with the C key held one step back:
- Target: a device on the data network at its output that has writable values,
- Value: the logic type that gets written there,
- Source: a logic unit on the data network at its input. What gets written is its
Setting– that of a reader, memory, compare unit, dial or lever, even that of an IC housing.
Important in daily use: the writer only writes when something changes – the source value, the source or the target. If somebody switches the vent by hand, it stays that way until the value at the input changes again. If you want to enforce a value again, write a number above 0 into ForceWrite; it then writes once more on the next tick.
Unlike the reader it has no readable Setting. Its logic values are On, Power, Error and ForceWrite, which is write only. It has a data input, a data output and a power port and, according to the game data, draws 10 W.
When something is missing: If source or target is missing, one of them is no longer on the right network, or the target has no writable values, Error is 1 and the writer writes nothing. Without power or with On at 0 it does not write either.
The writer hits exactly one device. If all devices of a type should get the same value, use the Batch Writer. If you only want to hit the devices of one room, sbn with a name in IC10 is the safe way, see IC10: control a device by name.

Example: address by name
Reads On, shows the value on the IC housing and writes On. Name the device with the labeller first; devices with the same name are addressed together.
