Overview
Sorter (StructureSorter) in Stationeers: device, hash -1009150565, 50 W. With build steps, 13 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The sorter takes items in through a chute input and sends each one to one of two outputs. It has three slots (import, export, export 2), a shared port for power and data, and draws 50 W.
Three modes are available, set via Mode:
| Mode | Name | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Split | alternating: one to export, the next to export 2 |
| 1 | Filter | filter list matches to export 2, everything else to export |
| 2 | Logic | a chip decides via Output |
The mapping according to the game code: Output 0 sends the item into the export slot and on to the "output" connection (no. 3 in the connection plan), Output 1 into export 2 and to "output 2" (no. 1). The plan is schematic – which opening on the model is which, your first test run will show.
In Logic mode the sorter waits until Output is set. After every item it resets Output to −1 itself – so the chip has to decide anew for each item. Read OccupantHash in slot 0 for that and only write when something actually lies there. Otherwise the diverter for the next item is already set before the chip has seen it.
Careful when switching: if Mode changes to Split or Logic, the sorter deletes its filter list. If you add a filter, it switches to Filter by itself.
For the filter list the game has the Sorter Motherboard, which the electronics printer makes from 5 gold and 5 silver. You build the sorter itself from the Kit (Sorter) (autolathe: 10 iron, 1 gold, 5 copper). It is taken down with the hand drill.
A complete IC10 program that separates ore by type is in Sorters, stackers and chute valves with logic.
