Control Station
Control desk, monitor wall and terminal: see every value of the base on large screens and control everything – with an IC10 terminal and IC10 chips in the desk.
Tools
XP for what you do anyway, levels up to 50 and a skill tree with 8 branches – small, fair bonuses calculated by the server.

Building, mining, cooking, harvesting, repairing, tech, exploring: useful activities give you experience (XP), you level up to level 50 and spend one skill point per level in the skill tree.
Skill tree: 8 branches – food, drink, character, crafting, mining, farming, tech and exploration – with 26 skills and 111 ranks. Every skill has a minimum level and usually a requirement. With all points at level 50 you can max out only about half of it – you specialise.
Deliberately small: fully upgraded, each skill gives at most 10–15% (cold and heat tolerance 4 K). A little less hunger, a faster drill, thriftier tools – the game stays the game. The strength of all effects is configurable, each effect can be switched off.
Fair: repeating the same activity with the same item gives less XP. Building and dismantling right away takes the XP back. Machines only count with a player next to them, survival only while moving.
Controls: Ctrl+K opens skill tree, character, XP rules and display settings – it never fires while you type in the console, chat or IC10 editor. A small HUD bar shows level and XP, top centre by default; set position, size and visibility in the "Display" tab or drag the bar with the mouse. Levelling up shows a large pop-up and plays a subtle game sound.
Multiplayer: the server calculates XP, levels and effects and saves everything per Steam ID in the world. Server and clients need the mod. With Exploration you get XP for exploring, salvaging and trading plus its own branch; food from More Food Recipes counts like any food.
