Electric Furnace T1 & T2

Furnace and advanced furnace without gas: ore in, pull the lever, ingots out.

v1.1.1 Server + client Stable Stationeers 0.2.6428.27798
Electric Furnace T1 & T2

Two furnaces that only need power: no fuel gas, no oxygen, no pressure management. And with no gas inside, nothing can blow up. The furnace works out by itself which ingot the mix makes.

The T1 kit from the autolathe only needs pure metals (30 iron, 20 copper, 5 gold). So you can start without a gas furnace at all and cast the alloys for the T2 in the T1.

How it works: ore into the input, mould lever closed to collect, lever open to cast. The furnace casts the whole melt at once, up to a full stack. The window shows recipe, energy per ore, progress and remaining time, and for a wrong mix what is still missing. Anything that cannot be cast is ejected after 5 seconds as ore or slag.

Recipes come straight from the game, XML mods included. If the ratio is slightly off, it casts the matching recipe first and the rest separately. The auto-throttle only takes what the network can spare. Power, energy per ore and plenty more are configurable. The server and all players need the mod.

Full guide: Electric Furnace in the wiki

What it does

  • T1 based on the furnace, T2 based on the advanced furnace, both power only.
  • Detects the recipe by itself, XML mod recipes included.
  • Casts the whole melt at once, up to a full stack.
  • Shows what is missing when the mix is wrong.
  • Auto-throttle only takes what the network can spare.
  • T1 kit from pure metals only, no gas furnace needed to start.

Version history

  1. v1.1.1Oct 6, 2026

Without a cable at the power port the furnace no longer requests power. The window used to show "Power: 50 kW / 50 kW" although nothing arrived. The "No power cable" hint now adds that a cable piece must sit directly at the port. ModSide = Both for LaunchPad 1.0.

  2. v1.0.0Oct 5, 2026

First release: Electric Furnace T1 (furnace) and T2 (advanced furnace) without gas, with recipe detection, casting the whole melt at once, automatic ejection of unusable melt and a display of missing ingredients.

  3. v1.1.0Oct 5, 2026

Energy cost rebalanced: 8.75 kJ per 1000 K plus 85 J per MPa per ore. 3000 iron ore now take about 3.5 minutes in the T1 instead of roughly 16, about 42 seconds in the T2. Configurable via JouleJeErzJe1000K, JouleJeErzJeMPa, MindestJouleJeErz and Faktor.

Frequently asked

The Electric Furnace draws no power.

A cable piece has to sit directly at the port. On the T1 that is the former data port, which now carries power and data; on the T2 it is the power port. Without a cable the window says "No power cable".

Which cable does the Electric Furnace need?

The T1 draws 50 kW and needs heavy cable, the T2 draws 250 kW and needs super-heavy cable. The auto-throttle goes easy on the network, but it does not protect an undersized cable from burning.
