Substation 1.1.0: reversed transformers, small transformers and a fuse box
Every transformer now also comes reversed, plus two small wall transformers and a fuse box that really trips on overload and short circuit.

On Steam a player asked whether the transformers also come reversed – like in the game, where the small and the medium transformer each have a form with swapped sides. Now they do, for the whole series.
Reversed transformers: every substation transformer now has a "(Reversed)" form. Everything stays the same – size, power, losses, temperature, protection, display, IC10 and data bridge – only PRIMARY and SECONDARY swap places. If the power comes from the other side, I no longer have to turn the transformer; the control panel stays at the front and upright. Like in the game, the normal kit builds both forms, I pick one with the mouse wheel while building. The models are mirrored: bushings, cable boxes and fans change sides, the control panel, gauges and signs stay readable. The rating plate says REVERSED, the cable boxes also say INPUT and OUTPUT, and the arrows point from PRIMARY to SECONDARY.
Smaller transformers: below the 10 kW small transformer there is now the compact transformer with 4 kW (wall, one cell wide and two high) and the mini transformer with 1 kW (a single cell). The 4 kW exactly suit the normal cable without the cable protection stepping in. Both have a full control panel with display and calculate losses and temperature like the big ones – as small transformers with slightly higher losses.
Fuse box: a wall box with one supply and six outputs. Unlike the small distribution board and my Power Regulator it does not limit, it switches off like a real circuit breaker. Each breaker has a rating and a curve B, C or D. On overload the bimetal heats up: up to 113 % it never trips, at 145 % after just under a minute, at 200 % after about 23 seconds. From 3, 5 or 10 times the rating it trips at once – that is the short-circuit protection. You reset it at the toggle or via IC10, after an overload only once it has cooled down. The main breaker is selective: with a short circuit in one output, that output's breaker trips first, not the whole box.
Also, all transformers and the fuse box can now be painted with a spray can.
And the substation is no longer silent: the transformers hum as soon as power flows and get louder with the load. Overload or heat gives a warning beep, a protective trip bangs with a spark, breakers drop with a clack, levers and switches have their switching sound, and while something is tripped it beeps – until ACK. All with sounds from the game, at the device and the same for every player.
I tested everything on a dedicated server with a test stand: all 16 transformers – eight sizes, each normal and reversed – carry power the right way, the breakers trip thermally and magnetically and can be reset. Anyone can let the game build the test stand: console, "uw selbsttest".
The server and all players need 1.1.0. Have fun building!
