Website: team applications with an aptitude test
Anyone who wants to join the team now needs the completed IC10 academy and takes an aptitude test before sending the application. A yes is followed by a 30-day probation, and team permissions require two-factor sign-in.
The join the team page has been rebuilt.
- Requirements with status: the page shows what you already meet and what is still missing – the IC10 academy at 100 % with a progress bar, an account that is at least 14 days old and a confirmed email address. The form only opens once everything fits. You can join from age 18, and a Steam profile and Discord name are now required.
- Aptitude test: after the form comes a general part with ten questions plus one part with eight questions per chosen area. You only ever get one question, with a visible countdown and no going back. Reloading or running out of time counts as wrong, window switches and paste attempts are counted. A part is passed from 80 %; afterwards you see passed or not passed and the percentage per part, but no solutions.
- Sending: you send the application for the areas you passed and confirm the minimum age and the code of conduct. Areas you did not pass are locked for 30 days.
- No guarantee of acceptance: passed only means that you can send the application. I decide on acceptance myself; even after a passed test and the completed academy an application can be declined without reasons.
- Probation and two-factor sign-in: after a yes you work on probation for 30 days, then you receive the “Crew” badge. Team members need two-factor sign-in; without it team permissions do not work, and your account and the team page show a clear notice.
The rules are in the terms – see the announcement of the change – and the data the test stores is described in the privacy policy.
