Overview
Jetpack Basic (ItemJetpackBasic) in Stationeers: clothing, hash 1969189000. With recipe and 4 IC10 logic values.
You wear the Jetpack Basic in the back slot. Slot 0 is called "Propellant" and takes a gas canister, slots 1 to 9 take any item. So it is a jetpack and a small backpack in one.
Through logic it knows On and Activate, both readable and writable. On is the stabiliser that holds you in the air. For the propellant canister in slot 0 there are also the slot values Pressure and Temperature.
According to the game code any gas will do as propellant, because the jetpack burns nothing, it simply blows the gas out. The starting kit holds a canister with 150 mol of Nitrogen. You set the thrust level with the buttons between 0.1 and 2.0 (default 0.5); gas use rises in the same ratio, five times over on the Stationeer difficulty. Below 500 kPa of overpressure against the outside air the jetpack warns, below 100 kPa it turns critical – gas below the outside pressure cannot be used.
Of the three jetpacks it is the slowest. The game data give a JetPackSpeed of 3 for the Jetpack Basic, 5 for the Spacepack and 8 for the Hardsuit Jetpack. The height limit MaximumHeight (10) and the JetPackPower value (7.5) are the same for all three. A more expensive model does not get you higher, only faster.
It is made in the Tool Manufactory already at tier 1, but from gold, steel and lead. If you have no steel yet, the Spacepack made from iron and copper is the easier start – and it is even faster.
Remember that there is only one back slot: with a jetpack you carry no backpack. What that means for your storage is shown in the comparison in Suit and equipment: what you wear on your body.

This thing is not on the data network itself. Read its values through the slot it sits in, or through db if the chip is inside it.
