Overview
Mining Charge (ItemMiningCharge) in Stationeers: tool, hash 15829510, stack 3. With recipe.
The mining charge blasts terrain and ore veins open in one go. Its game values in plain words: the explosion radius of 5 is 5 m. The explosion force of 50 is the damage right at the centre; it drops evenly to 0 towards the edge. The countdown of 10 is 10 s. Up to three stack in one slot.
You arm it with the secondary action in your hand: the game drops one piece and starts the countdown. Once it lies on the ground, using it arms or disarms it, and if you pick up an armed charge it is disarmed at once. It cannot be detonated remotely.
What the explosion does: within 5 m the terrain loses density, and in the inner area up to about 2 m it disappears completely. Every block of an ore vein that drops below half density releases its ore – exactly as much as when mining with the drill. Loose ore and other charges are left out by the explosion; they are neither damaged nor set off. For you, your buildings and devices the damage counts in full, though. So keep your distance and never blast right next to your base or a deep miner.
It is printed in two places, with a clear difference:
| Machine | Ingredients | Time | Energy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Security Printer | iron 1, gold 1, silicon 3 | 5 s | 200 J |
| Tool Manufactory | iron 1, gold 1, silicon 5 | 60 s | 6,000 J |
So the security printer is faster and saves silicon. If you need more punch and remote detonation, take the Demolition Charge from the tier 2 tool manufactory (explosion force 2,000, radius 6 m, countdown 15 s).
