Overview
Water Bottle (ItemWaterBottle) in Stationeers: canister, hash 107741229, stack 1.5. With recipe.
The Water Bottle is your drinking supply. It holds 1.5 litres. According to the game code you drink as much in one go as fits into your body – normally up to 1 litre, with high-quality food up to 1.75 litres. That takes 5 seconds per litre, and you have to open your helmet for it (except on the Easy and Creative difficulties).
How long that lasts depends on thirst. At 20 °C the character drinks about 0.9 litres in 30 minutes. One bottle therefore covers 1.5 / 0.9 · 30 min = 50 minutes.
It is filled at the Waterbottle Filler. The filler hangs on a liquid pipe, needs 10 W and has two bottle slots. Early on, the water usually comes from ice:
| Ice | Water per piece | Pieces for a full bottle |
|---|---|---|
| Ice (Water) | 20 mol = 0.36 L (plus 5 mol of nitrogen) | a bit over 4 |
| Pure Ice Water | 50 mol = 0.9 L | just under 2 |
The calculation uses 0.018 litres per mole of water.
The bottle's slot type is LiquidBottle. It does not fit gas or liquid canister slots, and the bottle filler in turn takes no canisters. It is made in the Hydraulic Pipe Bender from iron and silicon.
Take a second bottle on longer trips. More on water, ice and purification is in Water and thirst: melting ice, filling bottles, purifying water.
