Overview
Area Power Control (StructureAreaPowerControl) in Stationeers: device, hash 1999523701, 10 W. With build steps, 15 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The Area Power Control sits between the main network and a sub-network, a room for example. Its input carries power and data, its output only power. That means a chip on the main network does not see the devices behind it over the data cable.
The first slot takes a battery cell, the second can hold a data disk. The cell buffers the sub-network: if the main network fails, the consumers behind it keep running as long as the cell lasts. An Battery Cell (Large) stores 288,000 J, eight times as much as a small one.
Mode gives the state: 0 Idle, 1 Discharged, 2 Discharging, 3 Charging, 4 Charged. Charge and Ratio give the level of the inserted cell; the slot values Charge and ChargeRatio give the same through the slot. Base draw is 10 W.
How networks and fuses work together is explained in Power grid basics.
