Overview
Battery Cell (Large) (ItemBatteryCellLarge) in Stationeers: battery, hash -459827268. With recipe and 3 IC10 logic values.
The Battery Cell (Large) stores 288,000 J, exactly eight times the Battery Cell (Small). Otherwise there is no visible difference: it fits every battery slot, from the suit to the hand drill and the chargers, and also reports its charge via Mode from 0 (Empty) to 6 (Full).
It pays off wherever a lot of power is drawn. That is mainly the arc welder, which according to the game code draws 2000 J per tick (0.5 s) while welding – the large cell lasts 72 seconds of it, the small one only 9. The labeller and tablet draw 10 J per tick and run four hours on this cell. With the Hand Drill and Angle Grinder every finished deconstruction stage costs a flat 1000 J, so the large cell is good for 288 stages instead of 36. In the suit it also stretches the time until the next cell swap.
The price is in the recipe of the Electronics Printer: gold, copper and steel. On top come 20,000 J of printing energy according to the recipe, compared with 1,000 J for the small cell. That is still little compared with what the cell stores later.
A Battery Cell Charger with five large cells holds 5 · 288,000 J = 1,440,000 J in total. For comparison: the Battery Cell (Nuclear) alone stores 2,304,000 J, but needs printer tier 2 and superalloys.
Like the small cell, it is only flammable in great heat according to the game data (flash point 700 °C).
