Overview
Battery Cell Charger (StructureBatteryCharger) in Stationeers: device, hash 1945930022, 10 W. With build steps, 8 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The charger has five slots for battery cells. Every cell that is not yet full is charged with up to 500 W; on top of that comes a base draw of 10 W. Power and data have separate ports.
This is how long an empty cell takes at the full 500 W (the game calculates in joules per tick of 0.5 s):
| Cell | Content | Charging time |
|---|---|---|
| Battery Cell (Small) | 36,000 J | 72 ticks, 36 s |
| Battery Cell (Large) | 288,000 J | 576 ticks, just under 5 min |
| Battery Cell (Nuclear) | 2,304,000 J | 4,608 ticks, about 38 min |
Plan for the load: five empty cells draw 5 · 500 + 10 = 2,510 W at the same time. On a tight network the charger alone can tip it over so that all consumers switch off – a network is only supplied when generation is greater than demand.
For IC10 every slot has the values Charge and ChargeRatio of the inserted cell, plus Occupied and OccupantHash. On switches the device, Activate shows whether it is charging right now. With lbns you can read a slot's charge level by name.
It is built in one step from the Kit (Battery Charger). For small networks there is the Battery Charger Small with two slots. More about cells and runtimes in Batteries and storage: sizes, charging, discharging, a transformer in between.
