Overview
Battery Charger Small (StructureBatteryChargerSmall) in Stationeers: device, hash -761772413, 5 W. With build steps, 8 IC10 logic values and connection…
The small charger has two slots and charges every cell that is not yet full with up to 400 W. It needs 5 W itself. Power and data share one port – a single cable is enough.
Charging times of an empty cell at the full 400 W:
| Cell | Charging time |
|---|---|
| Battery Cell (Small) (36,000 J) | 90 ticks, 45 s |
| Battery Cell (Large) (288,000 J) | 720 ticks, 6 min |
| Battery Cell (Nuclear) (2,304,000 J) | 5,760 ticks, 48 min |
With two empty cells it draws at most 2 · 400 + 5 = 805 W. That makes it fit a small network with one or two solar panels, where the large Battery Cell Charger with up to 2,510 W would ask too much. Keep in mind: if generation is not enough, all normal consumers on the network switch off – the charger included.
For IC10 every slot provides Charge, ChargeRatio, Occupied and OccupantHash; On switches the device, Activate shows whether it is charging right now. A chip can, for example, switch it on only during the day when there is solar power to spare.
It is built in one step from the Battery Charger Small, which the electronics printer makes. More about cells and runtimes in Batteries and storage: sizes, charging, discharging, a transformer in between.
