Overview

Composite Wall (Type 1) (StructureCompositeWall) in Stationeers: structure, hash 1237302061. With build steps.

The composite wall is the solid standard wall for pressurised rooms. It sits on one face of the large 2 m grid, as a wall, floor or ceiling. It is built in two steps: place the Kit (Wall), then insert two plastic sheets. The kit comes from the Autolathe and needs steel. It also builds three further wall forms and the Composite Window.

According to the game data it holds a pressure difference of 300 kPa, and from 240 kPa it counts as stressed. That is half as much again as the Iron Wall (Type 1). A worked example against vacuum: at 101 kPa in the room it carries about 34 % of its limit.

Watch the weakest part of the shell. The composite window and the glass door only hold 200 kPa – if one of them sits in the wall, that limit applies to the whole room.

Finished, it is 0.13 m thick. With auto-ignition only from 873 K it is also the better choice than iron on Venus (737 K outside air). For pressures above 300 kPa there is the Reinforced Wall.

How many pieces a room needs is worked out with an example in Building: frames, walls, windows, floors, grid.
