Overview
Angle Grinder (ItemAngleGrinder) in Stationeers: tool, hash 201215010. With recipe and 4 IC10 logic values.
The Angle Grinder is the counterpart to the welding torch: what was welded on, it often cuts off again. In the game's build steps it is never a build tool, but it is the deconstruction tool in 249 structures, in 167 of them for the first stage. Only the Hand Drill appears more often.
Typical cases are the Composite Wall (Type 1), the composite cladding, the landing pad parts, the Advanced Furnace and the sheet stage of the Automated Oven.
It needs a battery cell in slot 0. Through logic it reports Power and knows Activate; for the battery slot, Charge and ChargeRatio are readable.
As with the drill, every deconstruction stage carries a consumption value, from 0 to 2 for composite walls up to 500 to 2000 for landing pad parts or the advanced furnace. The battery does not care, according to the game code: the grinder draws a flat 1000 J for every finished stage and nothing when idle. A small Battery Cell (Small) with 36,000 J is therefore good for 36 stages, a Battery Cell (Large) for 288.
A worked example: a row of 20 composite walls with one grinding stage each costs 20 · 1000 = 20,000 J – more than half the small cell, even though each wall only has a consumption value of 0 to 2.
The Mk II Angle Grinder (tier 2) is listed as a substitute. The simple Angle Grinder comes from the Tool Manufactory and only needs iron and copper. More in Tools at a glance: which one you need for what.
