Overview
Filtration Liquid (StructureFiltrationLiquid) in Stationeers: device, hash -1399038877, 10 W. With build steps, 109 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The liquid filtration unit follows the same pattern as the Filtration, just with liquid pipes: whatever arrives at the input is split according to the installed filters onto the output and the waste output. It is clearly larger than the gas filtration unit and takes up 3 × 3 × 3 spots on the small grid, a 1.5 m cube.
Its slots:
- two slots for gas filters,
- one slot for a programmable chip – so the control runs directly inside the device.
Slot logic gives FilterType and Quantity for each filter slot. That is how a program notices a used-up filter. All three lines can be measured separately (…Input, …Output, …Output2), plus On, Mode (Idle, Active), Lock and Setting. Power and data have separate ports; base draw is 10 W.
Which filter catches what is defined in the game code: a filter for a gas also takes its liquid form – the oxygen filter takes liquid oxygen, the water filter liquid water as well as steam. Filters for pure liquids such as polluted water, alcohol or salt only catch that one substance. As with gas filtration, the filtered part goes to the output and the rest to the waste output; a filter with Quantity 0 lets everything pass.
It only works with On = 1, Mode = 1 (Active) and all three lines connected. Each tick it takes at least 0.25 litres of liquid, up to 20 litres when the input is clearly fuller than the outputs, plus the gas in the line. While filtering, up to 100 W come on top of the base draw. Check the result at both outputs with a Liquid Pipe Analyzer before you take the lines further.
It is built in three stages:
- place the Kit (Liquid Filtration),
- insert two Kit (Liquid Pipe),
- fit two cable coils with the screwdriver.
The kit is made by the Hydraulic Pipe Bender. How filters and filtration work together is covered in Filtration: separating gases, changing filters, getting rid of waste gases.
