Square & Cylinder Tanks 1.0.3: tanks selectable on the console

A player wanted to show a tank's pressure and temperature on a console – the tank's button stayed greyed out. With 1.0.3 this works for all 24 tanks.

A player reported on Steam that the tank could not be selected on a console to display its pressure and temperature.

A console with the Gas Display board lists every device on its data network. You can only click the ones the board knows as a gas source, though: gas sensor, pipe analyzer, gas tank storage and anything with its own contents. Since 1.0.2 the tanks are one piece with the pipe network like the current game tanks – their contents belong to the network, not to the tank itself. So the board found no contents and greyed the button out. The same applied to the Logic Motherboard's pressure, temperature and combustion conditions in the computer.

From 1.0.3 both boards recognise the tanks again. The display reads pressure and temperature from the tank's pipe network, the same values the gauge, the display and IC10 show. This applies to all 24 tanks, to tanks already built and to links from older saves. IC10 with l, lb and lbn was not affected.

How to: connect the console and the tank with a data cable (on the tank the green connection right of the pipe), insert the Gas Display board, click the tank's button on the console – it turns green. The "Mode" button on the display switches between pressure and temperature. With several linked devices it shows the average.

New is the console command tanks console: for the nearest tank it shows which consoles are on the same data network and whether the tank is selectable and linked there.

The server and all players need 1.0.3; on a dedicated server replace the Tanks folder in its mods folder. Thanks for the report!
