New: Deep Well 1.0.1
A well drilling rig that works like the deep miner and then delivers polluted water – as liquid into a pipe or as ice into a chute, depending on the planet.
The Deep Well is on the Workshop. A drilling rig with a custom model that works automatically:
- Drilling: it drills down to bedrock, the drill string turns visibly and disappears into the ground.
- Water or ice: from 3 °C ground temperature it delivers polluted water into a liquid pipe (Venus, Vulcan), below that polluted water ice into the ice tray (Mars, Europa, Moon, Mimas).
- Ice tray: the chute docks right at the ice tray and gets batches of 5 chunks. Without a chute you take the ice out by hand.
- Amount: 0.5 mol/s – one ice chunk every 100 seconds, as often as the deep miner delivers ore – at 500 W. Everything adjustable in LaunchPad.
The water still has to go through the water purifier, so the well only replaces collecting ice. Display at eye level, LEDs, work light and full IC10 control. Non-flammable, even on Venus. The server and all players need the mod.
