Deep Well

A well drilling rig that works automatically like the deep miner: it drills down to bedrock, then delivers polluted water – nothing else. Custom 3D model with a blue drilling mast, rotating drill string, feed pump, settling tank, ice former and control cabinet.

Water or ice

• The planet's ground temperature decides: from 3 °C water, below that ice.
• Water (Venus, Vulcan): at 15 °C into a liquid pipe until the line is filled to the fill limit (default 80 %).
• Ice (Mars, Europa, Moon, Mimas): polluted water ice into the ice tray. The chute docks right at the ice tray and gets batches of 5 chunks. Without a chute you take the ice out by hand.

Amount and power

• 0.5 mol/s at full speed: one ice chunk every 100 seconds – as often as the deep miner delivers ore – or about 32 L of water per hour.
• 500 W while running, 10 W while waiting.
• The water still has to go through the water purifier. The well saves you collecting ice, not the automation.

Deep miner footprint (4 × 2 m), on terrain or a frame platform. Display at eye level, LEDs, work light, full IC10 control and console commands. Non-flammable, even on Venus. Kit from the autolathe, tier 1. All model labels, the display and device names appear in German or English, depending on the game language. The server and all players need the mod.
