Overview
Space Helmet (ItemSpaceHelmet) in Stationeers: clothing, hash 714830451, 3 L. With recipe and 41 IC10 logic values.
The Space Helmet closes off the Eva Suit at the top. Its gas space is small at 3 litres. Together with the suit's 10 litres you have 13 litres of air left once the canister is empty.
Unlike the Eva Suit, the helmet has logic values of its own, 41 in total. Readable are Pressure, Temperature, TotalMoles and the fraction of every gas in the helmet air. Open, On, Lock, Volume and SoundAlert are readable and writable, Flush is write-only. Open shows whether the visor is open. According to the game code On switches the helmet lamp; it draws 50 J per tick from the suit battery. Flush (or the button on the helmet) blows the air out of helmet, suit and lungs at once – useful when toxic gas has got into the suit air. That only works while you wear the helmet.
Only open the helmet where the air really is breathable:
- at least 16 kPa oxygen partial pressure for full breathing efficiency,
- total pressure between 20 and 607.95 kPa,
- toxic gases below 0.5 kPa partial pressure,
- air temperature between −10 °C and +50 °C – outside that range the lungs take damage according to the game code.
An example: a room at 60 kPa with 30 % oxygen has 0.3 · 60 = 18 kPa of oxygen partial pressure. That is enough.
According to the game data the helmet is flammable (flash point 210 °C, autoignition 350 °C). It is made in the Autolathe or the Tool Manufactory from gold and copper. The Hardsuit Helmet does not burn; the HARM Helmet offers more gas space with 25 litres.
