Overview

Small Tank (StructureTankSmall) in Stationeers: device, hash 1013514688, 10 W, 6,000 L. With build steps, 73 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.

The small tank holds 6,000 litres of gas. In this version it is a device of its own with a data port: you can read Pressure, Temperature, TotalMoles, Volume and the fractions of all gases directly from the tank. Base draw is 10 W.

Important for new saves: since version 0.2.6143 tanks are part of the pipe network. The Kit (Tank) now builds the Small Tank – same volume, but without a data port and without logic. This old version only survives in older saves. You measure the in-line tank with a Pipe Analyzer on the same network.

The old version has its own inner volume that equalises with the connected pipe network every tick. That has a noticeable effect: a pump on the pipe gets at most the pipe volume per tick. Filling and emptying therefore take much longer than with an in-line tank.

How much fits: at 20,000 kPa and 20 °C it is n = 20,000 · 6,000 / (8.3144 · 293.15) ≈ 49,200 mol. From a 60,795 kPa difference to the surroundings the tank takes 5 damage per tick. If it is destroyed, its entire contents end up in a single cell – a huge pressure surge with that amount. So fill it with a margin and remember that heat raises the pressure.

According to the game data this tank is not flammable. How to fill stores safely is covered in Tanks and gas storage: sizes, insulation, safe filling.
