Day 42 of 365 · Beginner · Month 2: Order and data network

Review week 6: batch and NaN

Eleven questions on the sixth week: batch modes, lb and sb, NaN guards, the data network and one chip for several rooms.

Review 12 min Week 6

What you learn today

  • Quiz on batch modes, lb/sb and NaN guards

This week was about many devices at once and about what happens when one of them is missing. The quiz checks:

  • Batch modes: Average for readings, Sum for real sums, Minimum, Maximum, Count – and what each returns without a match.
  • lb and sb: all devices of a type, without names. Good for lights, dangerous for air.
  • NaN guards: snan, snanz, bnan, select – and the safe direction per device.
  • Data network: all cables carry data, devices do not join networks, behind the transformer is a different network.
  • Several rooms: same name for sensor and heater, room name in a register, one room per tick.

You pass from 60 %.

Tip

For NaN questions the simulator helps: remove a device, run one tick and see which registers show NaN.
