Overview
Cooked Rice (ItemCookedRice) in Stationeers: food, hash 2013539020, stack 10. With recipe.
Cooked Rice is the simplest rice dish. The Microwave or the Automated Oven turns 1 rice into one portion in 5 seconds.
Cooking clearly pays off here:
| Nutrition | Mood | |
|---|---|---|
| raw rice | 3 | −0.25 |
| cooked rice | 10 | 0 |
Nutrition more than triples, and the mood penalty of raw rice disappears.
Still, one portion is not much. A Bread Loaf gives 340, as much as 34 portions of rice. Cooked rice is therefore mainly a dish for the early game, before you have flour. It stacks up to 10 portions.
It decays at a rate of 0.00019, a little slower than bread (0.00025). If you have more rice than you will eat soon, can it instead: in the Basic Packaging Machine, five rice with oil and steel become a rice pudding with a nutrition value of 100. That is twice as much as five cooked portions (5 · 10 = 50), and the can does not decay.
How the dishes compare is covered in Food and cooking: nutrition, mood and shelf life.
