Overview
Iron Frame (StructureFrameIron) in Stationeers: structure, hash -1240951678. With build steps.
The iron frame is the frame for the early game. Like the Steel Frame it fills one cell of the large grid, 2 × 2 × 2 m, and carries walls, floors and devices. But it only needs iron.
It is built in three stages:
- place the Iron Frames,
- one iron sheet with the welding torch,
- a second iron sheet with the welding torch.
The steel frame's plastic stage is missing. The iron frames come from the Autolathe; according to the game data the Terraforming Manufactory makes them too. When deconstructing you remove the sheets with the wrench and the bare frame last with the angle grinder.
A worked example for the material: a corridor of five cells needs five iron frames and 5 × 2 = 10 iron sheets. Then come the walls: a closed corridor of five cells needs 22 wall pieces – five each for both sides, floor and ceiling, and two for the ends.
Both frames stand in the same grid. So you can continue a corridor with steel frames later. More about frames, walls and the right order is in Building: frames, walls, windows, floors, grid.
