Iron Sheets

Iron sheets are the first semi-finished goods you need. The Autolathe makes 1 sheet from 1 iron, in 1 s and with 200 J. Sheets stack up to 50.

According to the game data iron sheets are used up in 25 structures, among them:

• the iron frame and the four iron walls,
• the Furnace (four sheets),
• all large printers (two sheets each),
• the ice crusher, the small satellite dish and manual hatches.

Usually you fit them with the welding torch; for the furnace the first two go on with the wrench. Taking the structure down normally gives the sheets back.

Later on Steel Sheets take over many jobs, since most advanced structures ask for steel. In the recycler an iron sheet returns only 0.5 iron – half. So store leftover sheets rather than recycling them.
