Overview
Steel Frame (StructureFrame) in Stationeers: structure, hash 1432512808. With build steps.
The steel frame is the scaffolding of a base. It fills exactly one cell of the large grid, a cube of 2 × 2 × 2 m, and carries walls, floors, lines and devices.
It is built in four stages:
- place the Steel Frames,
- one steel sheet with the welding torch,
- a second steel sheet with the welding torch,
- one plastic sheet with the screwdriver.
The kit comes from the Autolathe. The same steel frames also build side, corner and cut corner frames. When deconstructing you remove the stages in reverse order – with crowbar, wrench and finally the angle grinder – and get all the material back.
The simpler Iron Frame gets by with iron and has no plastic stage. It is enough at the start; the steel frame is the choice once steel is available in quantity.
A tip for devices: if you mount something directly on the frame and then build a wall on the same face, the device can disappear inside the finished wall. Finish the wall first, then the devices. More about the grid and the build order is in Building: frames, walls, windows, floors, grid.
