Overview
Recycler (StructureRecycler) in Stationeers: device, hash -1633947337, 100 W. With build steps, 12 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The recycler turns things you no longer need back into raw material. For everything a printer makes, the game takes the print recipe times 0.5. According to the recycler table this applies to 519 of 538 entries. An Kit (Furnace) made from iron 30 and copper 10 therefore returns iron 15 and copper 5.
The remaining 19 entries are furnace products, mostly ingots. For them the furnace recipe applies in full: a basic metal ingot returns its substance completely, an alloy ingot falls apart into its components – steel into 0.75 iron and 0.25 carbon. Watch out with super alloys: their ingot cost 4 units, but the recycler only returns the recipe ratio, for hastelloy 0.5 silver, 0.25 nickel and 0.25 cobalt – a quarter. Printed parts, on the other hand, return alloys as alloys.
For some things the table does not count: ore – charcoal included – returns its contents in full, Dirty Ore only half. Plants, decayed food, eggshells and hay become biomass, other food yields nothing. If an item holds something, for example a battery, the recycler processes the contents first. Stacks are taken piece by piece.
It collects the result and outputs it as reagent mix as soon as 50 units have gathered or nothing has arrived for about 3 s. Whole units become pieces, fractions are lost in the process – so better recycle several parts in one go. Send the mix on to the Centrifuge, which turns it back into pure ores. Alloy shares such as steel or electrum belong in the furnace; the centrifuge has no recipe for them.
It only works while it is switched on and powered – the output too. Connections: import and export slot, chute input and output, data and power. Base draw 100 W. The autolathe prints the kit Kit (Recycler) from iron 20 and copper 10, and it is placed in a single step. According to the game data it is flammable.
A complete recycling line with IC10 control is shown in Recycling and centrifuge: getting material back.
