Overview
Reinforced Window (Composite) (StructureReinforcedCompositeWindow) in Stationeers: structure, hash 2027713511. With build steps.
The reinforced window is the window for rooms where the normal Composite Window would long have given way. According to the game data it withstands a pressure difference of 8,000 kPa – forty times as much as the composite window. From 6,400 kPa it counts as stressed.
It is built in three steps: place the Kit (Reinforced Walls), insert a plastic sheet, then a sheet of stellite glass. Kit and glass come from the Autolathe but need astroloy and stellite respectively. Both superalloys are made in the Advanced Furnace.
Together with the Reinforced Wall (10,000 kPa) it makes a shell for high pressure. Note that the window with 8,000 kPa is then the weaker part and sets the limit of the whole wall.
A worked example: a gas store at 2,000 kPa against vacuum loads the reinforced window to 25 %. A composite window would already be ten times over its limit at that pressure.
According to the game data it is flammable, with auto-ignition from 573 K – unlike the reinforced wall, which only burns from 873 K. On Venus with 737 K outside air that is worth thinking about. More about walls and windows is in Building: frames, walls, windows, floors, grid.
