Overview
Solar Control (CircuitboardSolarControl) in Stationeers: electronic part, hash 2020180320. With recipe.
The solar control goes into the circuit board slot of a Console. With two pairs of buttons you set the horizontal and the vertical position of all solar panels the console can reach. The screen shows how many panels are connected and what they currently deliver together.
That is the simplest way to turn a whole array at once – for example once roughly towards the sun at noon. The board cannot follow the sun, though: it keeps the position you enter. And the position costs a lot if it is wrong: a panel's efficiency is 1 − 2 · sin(deviation ÷ 2), so only about 48 % at 30° off, and nothing from 60°.
If you want full output all day, use a Daylight Sensor and a chip instead. The ready program is in Solar arrays: alignment, tracking, day and night. According to the game data the board's control button is Button1.
It is made in the Electronics Printer:
Manufacturing
Material, fire and recycling
Recycler returns: 2.5 Gold, 2.5 Copper
Flammable according to game data: flash point 393.2 K (120 °C); Autoignition 573.2 K (300 °C); burn time 15 s
Raw values from the game code (1)
Field names as in the game code, untranslated. Useful for mods and exact limits.
