Overview
Portable Generator (DynamicGenerator) in Stationeers: movable object, hash -82087220.
The portable generator is not fixed to the network but can be pushed around. It has two slots: one for a gas canister with the fuel gas and one for a battery cell. That lets it charge a cell directly, without any cable – handy at an outpost or on the first night, before the station network is up.
It connects to the station network through the Power Connector. The power connector has a place for portable devices and a power port to the network.
How much it delivers depends on the gas in the canister; the game data gives no fixed value for it. The combustion rules are the same as for the built-in Gas Fuel Generator: a fuel gas such as Hydrogen or Methane needs an oxidiser such as Oxygen, and the mixture decides the exhaust. For a whole base a fixed generator is the better choice.
It is built from the Kit (Portable Generator), which the electronics printer makes. An overview of all power sources is in Generators compared: solid fuel, gas, Stirling, wind, RTG, the runtimes of battery cells in Batteries and storage: sizes, charging, discharging, a transformer in between.
