Overview
Gas Fuel Generator (StructureGasGenerator) in Stationeers: device, hash 1165997963, 30 W. With build steps, 43 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The gas fuel generator burns whatever comes through its input pipe and releases the exhaust at its output pipe. According to the game code 17 % of the combustion energy becomes power, the rest stays as heat in the exhaust. The Power calculator uses about 12,800 W for Hydrogen and Oxygen at a 2 : 1 ratio and 20 °C.
It has four ports: data, gas input, gas output and power. It needs 30 W itself. Through logic you switch it with On; readable are PowerGeneration, Pressure, Temperature, TotalMoles, Combustion and the gas fractions such as RatioOxygen or RatioHydrogen.
The surroundings have to fit. The game data lists a minimum pressure of 20,000 Pa and a temperature window of 278.15 to 328.15 K. It therefore needs air above 20 kPa and between 5 and 55 °C around it. Outside on Mars (2 to 3 kPa) it does not run, on Vulcan and Venus it is far too hot – put it in a room with an atmosphere.
What comes out depends on the mixture: hydrogen and oxygen give only Steam, methane and oxygen give Pollutant and Carbon Dioxide. The exhaust is hot – route it into a tank or through cooling, not into the living area. According to the game data the generator itself is flammable (flash point 100 °C).
It is built in one step from the Kit (Gas Fuel Generator). More about fuels and exhaust in Generators compared: solid fuel, gas, Stirling, wind, RTG.
