Overview
Steel Sheets (ItemSteelSheets) in Stationeers: material, hash 38555961, stack 50. With recipe.
Steel sheets are the most important building material of the middle and late game. The Autolathe makes one sheet from 0.5 steel, in 3 s and with 500 J. One steel ingot therefore gives two sheets. They stack up to 50.
According to the game data steel sheets are used up in 160 structures – more than any other semi-finished good. A few examples:
- Steel Frame and many walls,
- landing pads, fuselage parts, engine mounts and fairings for rockets,
- station batteries, airlocks, the blast door, radiators, heat exchangers,
- the advanced furnace (5), the centrifuge (4) and the deep miner (12).
Worked example: the Deep Miner needs 12 steel sheets, i.e. 6 steel ingots. Add 50 steel for its kit – 56 steel in total, a good 42 iron and 14 coal.
In the recycler a steel sheet returns 0.25 steel, half. How to get steel is explained in Making steel: step by step in the furnace.
