Overview
Creative RTG (StructureRTG) in Stationeers: device, hash -44928532. With build steps, 3 IC10 logic values and connection diagram.
The creative RTG is a generator without any controls: it always delivers 4,000 W, needs no fuel and has no switch. It sits in a single cell on a wall or floor and has only a power port – no data port and no logic values besides its identifiers.
The name points to creative mode: for the Kit (Creative RTG) kit the game data names neither a recipe nor a trader. The version without “creative” in its name is the RTG with a permanent 800 W. Its kit Kit (RTG) has no recipe or trader in 0.2.6428 either, and the XML game data (such as starting kits) does not list it anywhere.
For planning, the same rules apply as for any power source:
- Strictly greater: a network is only supplied when generation is greater than demand. A 4,000 W RTG therefore carries 3,999 W, but not 4,000 W.
- Surplus is lost: whatever the consumers do not draw is gone. With a Station Battery behind it you collect it for load peaks.
- Cable: normal cable still holds 4,000 W. Two RTGs on the same network deliver 8,000 W – then heavy cable, as soon as a battery charges or the load is that high.
Because the RTG has no data port, a chip cannot query it. How much is offered on the network is measured by a Cable Analyzer through PowerPotential. Comparison with other sources in Generators compared: solid fuel, gas, Stirling, wind, RTG.

This thing is not on the data network itself. Read its values through the slot it sits in, or through db if the chip is inside it.
