According to the recipe data inconel appears in just over ten recipes: the plant gene splicer and gene stabiliser, the nuclear battery cell, the sensor lenses, the LArRE docks, the robotic arm and, with 50 ingots, the large satellite dish. One ingot counts as 1 unit of inconel.
The recipe only exists in the Advanced Furnace:
- 50 % gold, 25 % steel, 25 % nickel,
- from 600 K, open upwards,
- 23,500 to 24,000 kPa – the narrowest pressure window of all alloys.
500 kPa of leeway is just over 2 % of the pressure. Since pressure rises with temperature, a little reheating is enough to leave the window: a charge at exactly 23,800 kPa at 700 K is already above 24,000 kPa at 710 K. So set the temperature first and then adjust the pressure in small steps. At 700 K the 1,000 litre furnace needs about 4,080 mol of gas.
Add steel as Ingot (Steel). One ingot uses 4 units of mix, i.e. 2 gold, 1 steel and 1 nickel. In the recycler an ingot only falls apart into 0.5 gold, 0.25 steel and 0.25 nickel – a quarter of that. More in Super alloys in the advanced furnace.
