Overview
Cartridge (Atmos Analyzer) (CartridgeAtmosAnalyser) in Stationeers: electronic part, hash -1550278665. With recipe.
The Atmos Analyzer turns the Handheld Tablet into a gas measuring device. You put it into the cartridge slot (slot 1); in the Advanced Tablet it goes into one of the two cartridge slots. It is printed in the Electronics Printer at tier 1 from iron, gold and copper.
According to the game code it measures what you aim at: a device with its own gas space, a whole pipe network (via a pipe), the canister in a gas tank storage or a fellow player's suit air. Aim at nothing and it measures the air around you, headed WORLD or ROOM with the room number. It shows volume, pressure, temperature in °C and amount of liquid, for every gas moles, volume and percentage, plus symbols for freezing, condensing and evaporating. For gas pipes it also shows pipe stress: 2 % liquid in the pipe reads as 100 %, orange from 0.6 %, red from 1.8 %.
What the numbers mean depends on your question. The key limits for breathing air:
| Value | Limit |
|---|---|
| oxygen partial pressure | full breathing efficiency from 16 kPa |
| total pressure | 20 to 607.95 kPa |
| toxic gases (pollutant, volatiles and others) | warning from 0.5 kPa, damage from 1 kPa partial pressure |
| temperature | lungs take damage below −10 °C and above +50 °C |
You work out the partial pressure yourself: fraction times total pressure. 2 % pollutant at 100 kPa is 2 kPa – above the damage limit, even though the fraction looks small.
The cartridge is not meant for permanent monitoring. It provides no values to IC10. For that there is the fixed Gas Sensor for rooms and the Pipe Analyzer for pipe networks. More on all cartridges in Tablet and cartridges: portable meters for air, networks and plants.
