Overview
Ore (Gold) (ItemGoldOre) in Stationeers: ore, hash -1348105509, stack 50. With recipe.
Gold ore is moderately common (weight 30), but only yields 2 or 3 pieces per extraction and takes five times as long as iron according to the game data. Every piece contains 1 unit of gold.
Gold is the stuff of electronics: of the roughly 150 recipes with gold, most run in the Electronics Printer – chips, boards, cartridges, battery cells. Together with silver it makes Ingot (Electrum), with steel and nickel the super alloy Ingot (Inconel).
In the arc furnace gold is the most expensive ingot: 6 s and 2,000 J each. A full stack of 50 therefore costs 100,000 J. In the gas furnace gold melts from 600 K and 100 kPa and releases 0.2 mol of Oxygen, 0.5 mol of Nitrogen, 0.2 mol of Carbon Dioxide and 2 mol of Pollutant per piece.
Plan for gold early – almost every controller and electronic part needs it. More in Ores and what they contain.
